Happy Half Birthday
Happy half-birthday, sweet, happy, yummy little boy!
You share a half birthday with your uncle Frank, who passed away last year. His death is a story for another blog. He would have been 37 today. I tell you this because there is a very good chance that your half birthday will be celebrated each year by your daddy because of this association. You also have a great many expressions that look like your uncle Frank.
If I wasn’t so skeptical of such things, I might entertain the idea that you are Frank, reincarnated. But that’s just silly. Because you’re my former dog Batchelor, after all 
. And you don’t like my breastmilk after I’ve had beer. If you were Frank, the king brewmeister, you’d surely be crawling by now just so you could bring me beer so you could inadvertently ingest it. Not that I have ever nursed you after drinking a beer 
. That would be terrible. Nor would I ask you to bring me a beer. You might drink it. And that would be wasteful.
I cannot believe that I first held you in my arms six months ago. What a six months it has been. I am still adjusting. You are growing like a weed. A very chubby weed. Who smiles a lot.
I am so lucky to know you, little boy. You have such a sweet (and stubborn) soul. It is a pleasure and adventure to be your mama.
I owe you a more detailed monthly update, but for now, just know how much I love you, and how much I am looking forward to all of your future birthdays and half-birthdays.

Wow - that much time has passed already! Now way - seems like just a few months ago that we talked on the phone the first time! He is incredibly handsome - what a boy!

He really is quite yummy.
It’s so funny that Albie is your dog reincarnate. my dogs are my grandparents reincarnate! ain’t life a laugh!

It was great to see your post and pictures. I am thinking of you a lot as the 31st gets near - know you and Albert are in my heart. Hey, I hear word that mb, J, and L are getting to know you better - lucky gals. And, be careful, those three are pretty infectious.
