Cognosco is latin for "I think; I know; I am aware of" and so it's been my user name for pretty much everything since I stumbled my way through four painful Latin courses as an undergraduate. Because I like to think. And I really enjoy finding out new information. And I do my best to be aware of what's going on in the world around me.
I'm a grad student in Social Psychology. I don't counsel people--I'm not that kind of psychologist. I want to know why normal people do weird stuff and how we're all influenced by the power of the situation despite our unique psychological differences. I dig statistics (though I am not particularly talented there) and feminist theory. My current passion is how pregnancy events (unwanted pregnancies, abortion, caesarean sections, birth environments, etc.) affect women's mental health. I'm happily married and luckier that I deserve.
